Should Be Paid Larger Salary.

Rural mail carriers are in a fair way to receive an increase in salary daring the ooming session of congress. At least one bill has been introduced into each branch looking to this end. Conservative opinions indicate that increases will fallow. Farmers who are receiving the service will generally sanotion the government in making provisions for the advance. The rural carriers are underpaid is beyond question. Their expenses are greater, their duties as arduous and the necessary hardship greater than the oity mail delivery man's but they are paid but little over half the city carrier's salary. The need is bo self-evident that we feel that congress cannot but see the necessity of better paid erti' ployes. The change must come in time as a matter of common justice and the sooner it does an evident injustice will be righted
