Association and Institute Combined.

The Jasper County Teaohers’ Association closed a successful session of two days, Saturday after noon. The principal instructor was Prof. L. J. Rettger, of the chair of Biology, of the State Normal School, at Terre Haute* and his work before the Association and bis evening lectures were both satisfactory. An important aotion taken was to deoide to discontinue the annual separate meetings of the Association, and to merge them with the County Teaehers’ Institute. Tbe meetings of tbe latter wilt also be obattged from August to the firtt week before Christmas,
