Mrs. George Ultn, of Rensselaer, was the guest of Mrs. Oottingham test Sunday week. — Mrs Sam Ritchey and ohildren, of Wheatfield, visited her sister, Mrs, (Nottingham, a few days last week. Harry Zimmerman visited hi* parents at Rensselaer a few day* last week. Operator Harry Haus. of Westville, who filled his plaoe here has gone ta Dyer to work. Mrs. David Winslow has gone to Indianapolis to take farther treatment for her eyes by' ,Dr. Rowe. Ihe specialist. Bhe will remain two or three weeks. The new seats for the Ouristian churoh which has lately been enlarged, are now being made and will soon be placed in position When this is done the churoh will *be ready for use. Mrs. Mike Shefaan and ohildren ihave returned their home at Lafayette, after a weeks’ visit with her parents, Ike -Kight -end wife .and other relatives.
The ladies of the M. E. oharoh will give their annud Thauksgiv iDg general supper at the sohool house, on Wednesday evening, JNov. 25th, 1903. Fresh oysters taad ice cream and oake will b. ‘•eerved. The proceeds will be used to help clear the ohuroh debt Everybody go and help the good cause along. Rav. E. C. Swarf*, the Seventh Oiy Adventist dosed bis meeting *■» the M. E; ohuroh last Sanday evening after a six weeks grind. Elder Young preaohed the closing sermon. The meetings are well csttended.every night but no conversions were made. Frank E. Hueted, an operator -who has been working for the D. la. & W Ry. at Corning, N. Y., iecmany years, is now employed by tf|e Monon and working at Shelby. He is a son-in-law ot Ohas Halleok and has been here the past two montus visiting hie -wife who has been hejfe since last spring, and other relatives. i, O.
