Yoaag Mao killed Satirday Night I j the Traia. A sad and fatal accident occured near Dunnville, in Kankakee township late Saturday night A party of young people procured a. hand-car belonging to the Three I road, and went out some miles, on a ride. Oh their return, about 11 o’clock th£y met a freight train at high speed. They did not at first recognize the head-light of the approaching train, and thought it was a foot light. When they discovered it was a train, they all got bff except Pat McMannis, a boy about 18 years old. He appears to have stopped to try to clear the hand-car, and was struck. His neck was broken and he died in 20 minutes. The unfortunate boy was a son of the Three I section foreman, at Dhnnville, and the hand-car was the one used by him, and the boy is stated to have taken it without his'father’s knowledge, which fact Would account for his great anxiety to saVe it from being struck. Coroner W'rifeM went up Monday morning for the inquest.
