A Statement From Morocco.
Iu regard to the Morocco and Goodland foot ball game playod at Goodland Nov. 11th, 1903, in justice to my Team the Citizens of Morocco and the fair minded peop'e of Newton county. . T wish to make the following statement, setting forth the facts of the game which have been greatly misrepresented by the majority of the papers of Newton county and Northwestern Indiana. All the rot about Goodland playing the Rush Medicals with a few Morocco is absurd and false, we do fiot deny the faot that we had four Rush men, and furthermore Goodlaud cannot deny the fact that they had four Northwestern men, as follows: Daily, McCheesny, Johnson, and Jenkins, and how many more we do not know. But I am prepared to make a sworn statement to the above facts, and no person who witnessed the game deny the facts, but that Morocco played Goodland off their feet the entire game, and had Morocco had fair decisions would have won the game easily. Goodland will play the return game at Morocco Thanksgiving day, and I, as manager of the Morocco team, do not intend to steal the game from Goodland by allowing unfair decisions 1 . If Goodland wins this game we will concede her the Championship of North Western Indiana.
