The City Council.

The City Council met Monday night in extra session to act on the report filed some time ago by the City Commissioners regarding the assessments made to the property owners on Vine and Susan streets. The assessments on Vine street were accepted according to-the specifications in the Commissioner’s report In the matter of the Susan street improvement, $7.80 was deducted from the original assessment of Bruce Porter, Joe Jackson, Bruce White and David Nowels, making in all a sum of $31.25 which was added to the city’s assessment. This reduction was made on account of the alley owned by the city which runs north and south between the property owned by the parties named. The council ho'ding that the abo/e parties ogght not to be assessed on property owned by the city.
