Assistant General Neely, of the Grand Army of tho Repß&lie, i» writing to veterans of the civil war throughout the state of Indiana relativflfto pension legislation in the next session- of oongress. Every soldier is advised by " him to become a member of some G. A R neat ■- It is expected that the service pension bill will be revived* a bill to erant pensions to all veterans who. served 90 days or more. Grand Army posts will be requested to forward petitions to congress favoring the bill. Indiana now has between 50,000 and 60/000 soldiers of whom 47,829 were on the pension mils June 30, 1906. Of -Jthis number only 15,599 batong to the Grand A!rmy of the Republic.
