' Kentland Enterprise. Hon. Jesse E, Wilson, the Rens--selaer attorney was in Kentland Monday and Tuesday attending court. Mr. Wilson, although not formally announced will be a candidate for Senator from the connties of Jasper, Porter, Pulaski and Starke, "Mr. Wilson is a strong man, and made a good reoord in the last General Assembly. His votes will bear the sorutiDy of his constituents, and we think the district will make no mistake in sendhiin to represent their interests in the upper branch of the Legislature. Speaking of his oandidaoy. be said. “I have not formally announced my intentions respecting the nomination for Senator, but I have told representative republicans in all parts of the district that I shallfin all probability be a oaudidate. I have reoeived much encouragement, and have no opposition at present, and have heard of no other candidates. I have an ambition to represent my distriot in the Senate, and a higher ambition to vote for Senator Beveridge

for re-eleotion to the United States Senate. Every one in the district understands my position regarding this matter now, and have understood it from the first. I am uncompromisingly for Senator Beveridge, first, last and all the time.”
