Notice of Letting ' of Ditch Contract Notice is hereby given, that sealed bidsjrill be received at the* Auditor’a office in Rensselaer, Jasper County, Indiana, up to 12 o’clock M, on MONDAY, OCTOBER 26th, 1903, for the construction of a ditch known as the GARRISON DITCH, No. 1198. The said main ditch commences near the southwest corner of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section 20, township 27, north, range 6, west, and runs thence in a general -Jiortherly direction a total distance of 64,620 feet to its cfutlet near center of the northwest quarter of section 9, township 28, north, range 6, west. Of said Main ditch, the upper 6245 feet is to be constructed of 16 inch tile, the remainder being open ditch intended to be constructed with Dredge but containing 2455 cubic yards of rock to be removed. Also a lateral, No. 1, commencing 120 rods east of the southwest corner of section 32, township 28, north, range 6, west, and running in a generof northerly direction a total distance > lil 12900 feet to its outlet in Main ditch at station 460, and is open ditch. Also, a lateral No. 2, commencing 25 rods west and 25 rods south of the northeast corner of the south half of the southwest quarter of section 20,. township 28, north, range 6, west, and .running thence in a general easterly direction 4800 feet to its outlet in Main ditch at station 491 of Main ditch, and is tile ditch. _ Also a spur, designated as “Nissius Spur” commencing near the quarter section corner on the south line of section 28, township 28, north, range 6, west, and running thence in a northwesterly direction 3972 feet to its outlet in lateral No. 1, at station No. 110 of said lateral, to be an open ditch. Said work will be let as follows: Ist, that part of Main Ditch from commencement down to stake 110 and 25 feet below. 2nd, the remainder of Main ditch to outlet. - . 3rd, lateral No. 1 will be let as a whole. * 4th., Lateral No. 2 will be let as a whole. sth, the Nissius spur will be let as a whole. ’ No bid will be considered if for more than the estimate therefor. Bids must be accompanied, by bond in not less than the amount of the bid and to the approval of the County Auditor, to entitle it to consideration. Wm. C.
