Rensselaer Semi-Weekly Republican, Volume 35, Number 124, Rensselaer, Jasper County, 16 October 1903 — Judge Taylor’s Plans. [ARTICLE]
Judge Taylor’s Plans.
Judge Taylor, of Fort Wayne, Ind , has started a movement for another meeting in Indianapolis of the monetary convention of 1897. The present does not appear to be a very propitious time for suoh a meeting, and it is probable Judge Taylor’s efforts will not meet with a oordial response. The Republicans in Congress are not favorable to radioal monetary legislation, nor is the oountry prepared for any marked change. The Subject is one upon wbiob authorities are not fully agreed, although it is quite generally recognized that certain changes are essential.
