The Special Meeting.

The Oounoil held a speoial meetmeeting Wednesday evening, to consider the oity commissioners’ report on the assessments for Mak-em-self Sewer. There were a number of persons who thought their assessments were too high, and two or three who thought they should not be assessed at all. The Gounoil however concluded that they oould not improve matters muoh by ohangee, and therefore accepted and adopted the report as made by the commissioners, Several of the oounoil men state, however, that they considered the assessments very unequally made. The sewer is a great improvement and ooet all told about $9,700. The contract for the Division and Scott streets sewer was let to John Jessen, at 35 oents per lineal foot.
