We Got Badly Trimmed.

The game of High Sohool foot ball at Monticello Saturday resulted in a victory for Monticello, by a score of 12 to 0. The scores were all made in the first half, as our boys were able to hold them down the seoond half. It was a fine game all around, and our boys though they failed to score, still played a splepdid game. In fact, no good judge of good playing who saw the game would say our boys lacked anything in skill and nerve, as Compared with their opponents, but were simply overbourne by their vastly grerater size and weight, Their team averages in weight 152 pounds to ours only 140. In faot it is a marvel that so many great big fellows can be ound in aay high sohool as tho39_ composing the Monticello team. Not that there is any suspicion of unfairness about it however, for they belong to the sohool, and the game was fair and square in every way, and our boys were well treated and have no kiok ooming. They wish however that a return game oould be arranged for, for in that oase they believe last year’s history would be repeated. At that time Monticello won the fir6tj;ame also, but at the second attempt our boys wallopped them good and plenty.
