Great Doings Among The Soldiers.
- There were great doinga aojong the troops at Westpoint, Ky., Monday, the sham battle and maneuvers being, as is stated, on the grandest soaleof anything ia that line ever attempted in this oonntry. The whole thing was mightily like the realities of war, including the hardships, for it was up hill and down dale, and raining over head and muddy under foot, all day. For the most p*ri the Indiana soldiers missed the hardest p irt of' the fighting, on the side of the browns, the Michigan ffoldiers getting the brunt of the battle; but one Indiana regiment haDpmned to be right where the very hardest fighting was, and the ■(paper) bullets flew thickest, and that regiment was the Third, to whioh Company M. of Rensselaer, belongs.
