A Term Time Divorce Case

A new divorce otse was filed in the circuit couit last week, just in time to reach a hearing at the present term of court. The plaintiff is Mrs. Lillie _B,. Standish and the defendant Charles E. Standish. They were married Oct. sth 1887 and separated Aug, 17, 1903. She charges cruel treatment, in that he is of a a jealous, sullen disposition, illtreats visitors who came to see her, accuses her chastity, with other men, and watches and dogs her foot-steps on all occasions. Once also she thinks he meant to take her life with chloroform. They have three children, Elmer aged 15, Edna 12 and John 8 and and of whom she asks the custody. They have been living a few miles southwest of town for the pait few years, but seem not to have lived in this region very long. He is the man whose horsts were killed when ’lightning struck Mot Ritchey’s barn, some time ago. He states that he has no property left, whatever.
