The Old Folks Fell Out.
A quite elderly oouple had their turn at the divoroe court, Saturday. The parties were Samuel Newman, and Anna E. Newman, whose name before marriage was Banders. The oouple were married July 30, 1900, he being then a widower aud she twice a widow. It ie stated that he gave certain neighbors $25 by way of agent’s commission, for finding a wife for him. They livsd together, more or less continuously, on a small farm in Keener, Tp, near DeMotte. She left him in October, 1901, but he got her baok, later, but on June 8, 1903, she left him again, for good. He brought suit for a divoroe, alleging this abandon mont and also that she treated bim cruelly, and that she would not wash or 000 k for bim, nor treat him pleasantly. She brought a cross complaint asking that she be granted a divorce, aud alimony, alleging also cruel treatment. Snob as abusive language, and generally unpleasant behavior. A bad case of nasal oatarrah the old gentleman is afflicted with was also very much in evidence. Plenty of neighbor women gave evidence that Jhe old lady was a good housekeeper and also did plenty of oat-door work. The ooart granted her the divorce on her cross complaint, and alimony of SIOO. He is 75 years old and she 66.
