Expelled From France.

At South Bend the other day there arrived at Notre Dame, direot rotn Paris, France, twenty-seven sisters, members of the Order of the Holy Cross. They are among those of the religions orders excelled by the government from that country, and belonged to a oloister in Brittany, in the west part of France, and were the latest to be affected by the order of expulsion. A few of the sisters will remain at St. Mary’s, but most of them are destined for New Orleans and Texas.

A North Jndson woman took her false teeth oat and laid them on the center table one night recently, when her hnsband, to play a joke on her, substituted a horseshoe in the place of them. She wore them all the forenoon, complaining that her “teeth didn’t fit,’ and only discovered the ohange by the wide gash the toe oalk made when she bit a biscuit. 1 North Judsou Knox Republican wants to know what would be thought of a man that would have his pants made from sixteen to twenty inohes longer tban his legs and then go arounc holding them up to keep them from' trailing in the mud and fifth. But where does the comparison come in? We don’t know of any women who do this.
