More Oil Field Items.
J. D. and son Ralph, of Crawfordsville, were in town on Thursday and then went out to the oil fields, where Mr. Wilson has large interests. He owns 125 acres of land right in tbe fields, and on whioh there ate now 43 producing wells, and more being put in right along. They are all piped to the new refinery and to whioh the oil from them is sold for a term of years at $1.07 per barrel. The oil is worth much more than, that, but low prioes were made as an inducement to have the refinery built. The products at the refinery will be about 50 per oent asphaltum, and the rest various grades of oil, snoh as kerosene, gasoline, and different kinds of lubrioating oils. One of wells on Mr. Wilson’s land drilled in one day last week, is considered one of the very best in the whole field, and promises to be good for from 25 to 50 barrels per day.
