Old Guns Inspected.

Major Harrison the U. 8. gun inspector slipped in here Thursday and began examining the old Springfield rifles of Company M. to see if they were in good shape to return to tbe arsenal, and- re-, oeive the Dew Krag-Jorgensons in their plaoe. He oame without any previous notice, but he didn’t oatoh the boys vtyh their (gnn) breaohee in the wrong position. Instead he found everything trimmed and burnished, and, after a little hustling around, every gnn was in its plabe in the armory. Sixtyeight gone were to be aooonnted for and 68 guns Quarter-master Davy Warner prodnoed, in good condition. The Major expressed himself entirely satisfied and said the order to ship the old gnns would oome in a very few days. Not long after that the dew gnna will come along.
