Iroquois Ditch Meeting Tonight.
The City Counoil has published an invitation, elsewhere in this paper, for the oitizsna of Rensselaer to meet with them and the engineer and viewers of Iroquois ditch, to oonaider ihe matter of the cat through the rook ledge here. The meeting will be held this Tuesday evening, Sept. Bth, in the court house. This is s matter that very much concerns the people of Rensselaer, especially as it is known that there is a prospect of all the lota in the town being assessed on the ditch, and the people here should bejwell assured that they are to be benefit ted accordingly, Unless it is made evident that the sewerage system of the tow*r is to be benefited, it is not vary clear why Rensselaer property should be assessed on this work, and then only in proportion to the benefits to be conferred.
LaPorte and Harper Boggles are sold by Wm. Sohleman.
