lv / A Notable Matrimonial Event of Wed- . nesday Evening. South Cullen street was quite a center of interest Wed night. The oocasion was the marriage of Dr. Arthur Ray Kresler and Miss Minnie Grace Pulver. They were married in their own new home. Quite a large company of guests were present. The marriage was solemnized by Rev. T. A. Hall of of the Christain ohnroh. A very impressive ring ceremony was used. The bride was dressed in a most artistio gown of white Persian lawn. Mr. Frank Kresler, a brother of the groom was beat man and Miss Pearl Swank of Danville, 111,, was bride’s maid. Misses Ethel and May Clark, the little nieoes of the bride, aoted as ribbon carriers and Master James F. Hall, was ring bearer. Immediately following the oeremony the oompany proceeded to the dining room and were served with refreshments consisting of neopolitan ioeoream, two kinds of oake and ooffee. A large collection of presents handsome and useful were reoeived.
One feature not ou the program proper was a kitohen shower by about 20 masked ladies who pame in upon the oompany bringing all sorts of kitohen utensils. One present somewhat out of the ordinary was made by Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Johnson, it was thirty pounds of honey aooompanied by the injunction "Keep Sweet.” The guests from out of town were Mrs. David Pulver and Miss Jessie Pulver of Lowell, lad, Messrs Melville and Glen Wisbard of Chicago, Miss Jennie Branswiok of Hammond, and Miss Pearl Swank of Danville, 111., Doctor Kreslar and his bride will make their home in Rensselaer. They are both promineat iu society oiroles and the Doctor io ono of Rensselaer’s most promising young physicians. Thb Republican together with their host of other friends extend hearty congratulations and best wishes for a long, prosperous and happy life.
