Library Work is Moving.

The new Publio Library Board had a meeting Friday afternoon. The deed for the Mrs. Moss lota was reoeived and approved, and plaoed on record. A form of contract with the architect was adopted, and he -is invited to oome next Wednesday and sign np the oontraot, and submit plans for oousideration aud suggestions. The amount of library tax levy was considered and a rate of 10 cents on the SIOO was decided upon, and will be reoommended to the oity oounoil. None of Carnegie’s money oan be used on grounds, fixtures or furniture, so that a considerable amount must be raised by taxationsA letter from Carnegie, or his representative, wbb received, stat ing that the location was satisfactory and that the SIO,OOO was duly deposited hnd will be paid in sums of $2,000 as the work progresses. Messrs Thompson aud Sanders and Mesdames Eger and Ross were appointed membeis of the Building Committee, to aot with the other three members previously seleoted by the oitizens.
