Mayor’s First Wedding.

Two of the Carnival people gave a stunt lest Wednesday which though not on the bills and entirely new in their lines, was very well done, and whioh would be a good drawing oard before a much larger audienoe. This speoial performance took plaoe in the oonnty olerk’s office, at the oourt house, and tbe prinoipal performers were Mr. Charles W- Manley, general contracting egsnt of the Dixey Carnival Company, and Miss Catherine E. Broadriok, one of tbe performers in electrio tbreater. Mayor James H. 9. Ellis was master of ceremonies. In other words the above parties were married at that time, and Mayor Ellis performed tbe ceremony. It was also his first stnnt in that line, and he went through it with the dignity and precision of a veteran. Bat when it came his turn to have kissed the pretty, petite and blackeyed bride, he got rattled and forgot his Hues, and clear missed his cue, and did not oonneot at all. The groom gave his residenoe at Atlanta, Ga., and age at 24. The bride gave her’s at Wheaton, Ind, and age 18. The bridal tonr will begin when the Company makes next jnmp, and continue in that way, as loDg as the season lasts.
