At Wabash a hearing was had Friday afternoon before Jndge Shively to determine if a receiver should be appointed for ihe W T abash Bridge and Iron company, or if the company should be.tbrown into voluntary bankruptcyJudge Shively appointed Charles S Haas receiver of the aompany. It was learnt d that the liabilities on the bridge-works are not less than $273,000, with a possibility that they may exoeed $300.000., It is believed that with proper management Ihe concern will be able to pay out finally. There are a number of big contracts on hand now and the prospects for the business are very good. Had the bon earn gone into voluntary bankrupt oy the creditors would hsve realized bat little on their olaims.
