Notice of Letting of Ditch Contract Notice la hereby riven, that sealed bids will be received at the Auditor’s office In Kentland, Newton County, Indiana, up to 12 o’clock M. on Monday. August 31st, 1903, for the construction of a Dredge Ditch in the counties of Newton and Jasper, known as the No. 866 of Jasper County; commencing at tne south-west corner of Section one cl) township thirty (80), north, range eight (8) west, in Newton County, and running in a general south-easterly direction to its outlet in the Iroquois River near the line between sections four [4] and five (6), township twenty-eight (28), north, range, seven (7), west, in Jasper County, a total distance of 72,800 feet. Also a lateral open ditch known as the M Kosta Lateral” to said Kent Ditch, commencing at the line between Newton and Jasper Counties °nwest line of section thirty-one (81), township thirty (80), north, range seven (7) west, and running thence in a general westerly direction 6666 feet to its outlet in Main Ditch at Stake 265 plus 6o feet. 5 lateral Tile Ditch known as the Elijah Lateral” to said Kent Ditch, commencing 20 rods south o the quarter corner on the west line of section thirty-four (34), township thirty (8o), north, range eight (8) west, in Newton County, and running thence in a general south-easterly direction 5435 feet to its outlet in Main Ditch at Stake 260. Said work will be let as foil ws: First, The main Ditch as a whole; Second. The Kosta Lateral as a whole; Third, The Elijah Lateral as a whole. No bid will be considered If for more than the estimated cost of the work.
