The Tanner Vs Cain Case.
The suit of G. W. Tanner vs Tom Gain was partly tried before Squire Irwin, this Tuesday afternoon. It was in undisputed evidence that the two men had a stand at Fair Oaks on the 4th selling various soft drinks, oandy 4 peanuts eto. Eaoh men furpished part of the stook. Now Tanner bwears that no settlement has ever been made, and that there is about $25 ooming his way. Gain swears they settled in full, a few days after the 4th and that $1.44 ooming to Tanner was paid in full. The Squire thcught he ought to have oorroborative evidenoe, oue way or the other, and therefore htf continued the case until next Monday, Ang. 17, at 10 a. m. for further hearing.
