Death of Dr. Lovett.

Dr J, A. Lovtt*, of Goodland, oue of the oldeet and best known practicing pbysioiana of this immediate region, died about 9 o’clock, last Tuesday morning, Aug. 4, at his home in that plaoe. He was taken eiok with a stomach trouble on Monday of last week, though he had previously had very serious sicknesses from the same trouble. He looated in Goodland in 1866 and has been practicing medicine ever since, with some intervals of absence- The longest of these was quite a prolonged stay in Washington, D. C-, where he held a responsible government position, in the oeneus bureau. He was always a very strong Repnblioan in politios,and an active party worker. He leaves a widow, who is a sister of Ott Clark, of our city, and two grown ohildren, a son and a daughter. Mrs. Clark went over Sunday and was present when he died. Mr. Clark also went over, Wednesday, to be present at the funeral.
