Monon Train Kills Another Man.
The Indianapolis limited troin on the Monon due kere at 2 p. m , killed another man Monday, at Burnside, making two within two weeks killed by the same train, on about the same stretch of track. This last accident occured at Burnside where the Western Indiana tracks are orossed by the Illinois Central tracks. It is one of the most dangerous grade crossing s around Chicago. The victim was David Dalton, mister section boss of the Western Indiana t r acks. He was making some repairs near the crossing with a gang of men just as the Indianapolis limited on the Monon (the train leaving Chicago at .12 o’clock) bore down on the crossing at lightning speed. Dalton was g v ng orders to his men, and as the train reached the on. seiog, in a bewildered and sretaingly absentminded fashion he stepped on the Monon track direotly in front of the big locomotive. Both his legs were broken and a bad gash was out in his head, besides a skull fraoture. Passengers ran to his assistance and one women fainted in the general exoitment. Dalton was very popular with his men and was about 50 years old.
