Trouble Getting Teachers.

Prof. Banderß has had all sorts of trouble in hiring and keeping hired teachers for the numerous vaoanoies whioh have oooured in the city schools, for the ensuing school year; and there are etill two vacant plaoee to be filled.. Namely a teaoherjof History in the high school and a teaoher for the 6th year, to succeed Miss Nettie Need-, ham, whom Prof. Joe Harris has engaged for life. But this matrimonial miorobe is always at work, among the teachers as well as other people, and nothing can withstand

its ravages. Thus one teacher, il’s» Stella Hessoug, of Broad . Ripple, had been contracted by Prof. Sanders, but pretty sooifshe wrote and wanted to be released. Prof, objeoted and then she wrote again that she was to be married Sept. Ist, and that settled it Another who resigned after being employed was Miss Alma Bests, of Mt. Vernon. Bhe was released to take the position of oritio in the state normal school. Still enotbe the Prof thought he had lauded for this same position of teaoher of history, was David Jones, of Spencer, Iowa; but now he writea 1 that be has a better paying job in a wholesale store, in Chicago.
