/ - - - j ■ * An effort will be made at the Soath Bend meeting to organize and Elks army, the brat of its kind in Indiana. It will be established On a plan similar to the one formed in Texas. Eaoh lodge is autkoized to appoint one private. The other members of the lodge are all officers and they have a right to confer their own titles and piok oat their own uniforms. This array makes an amusing conglomeration of incongruities, bat establishes a uniform that is a popular burlesque and meets with much favor.. To be mads a private in the Elks army is considered quite a mark of distinction.
