FULLER MAY SOON RETIRE.

Aeetl Chief Justice Will Leave Supreme Bench Because of 111 Health. Chief Justice Fuller of the United States Supreme Court has one picture which is his favorite, as it shows him with the little grandchild of whom he is especially fond. Fuller has wanted for some time to resign, owing to his poor health, but waited, it is said, for Congress to pass the

bill increasing the salaries of federal judges. The law having been passed last winter, he may now retire on full pay, as he has been on the bench more than ten years and is also past 70. He will now receive $2,500 a year more than he would have received a year ago, when his salary was $12,500.
