To Enforce Cleanliness.
The state inspection bureau is preparing to make War on unclean bakeries and impressing them with the necessity of keeping their plaoes in a sanitary condition as required by 1 *fbe statutes. The Indiana law is very btoad. It leqnires all buildings where food products of any kind are prepared to be “properly heated," lighted, drained, plumbed and ventilated, and conducted with a strict regard for the health of the operatives iand the purity and wholesome ness of the food artiohs produced.” Some of the bakers, Mr. Spees, the state inspector, says, jire not living up to this Lw. In summer time the bakers are inolined to move their business into cellars >and basement rooms, where it is impossible to keep the surroundings clean, and where there is not proper plumbing nor sanitation.
