It is Brain Against Plane.

If the carpenters or anyone elee imagines the lawyers will stake their whole case this Friday afternoon on one line of defense, they are likely to find oat their mistake, when it is everlastingly too late, and then some. If one triok fails they will have another up their sleeves. Jnst now the lawyers have snooeeded in getting an unexpectedly early daU fixed for the game and it has been reported that they were slipping out and praotioing hard, almost between every drink, so to speak. Now the probable scheme is that they would get just in fine practioe by the time comes for the game; and the oarpenters will not, and thus the lawyers will beat the carpenters so bad at the very start that the latter wilL not know that they are playing at all, and the lawyers will take judgment against them by defanlt. On the other hand, if the oarpenters should hear how strennonsly the lawyers are praotioing they too will tarn loose, in the praotice work to snoh an extent that they will be all worn ont and banged up by game day, and the lawyers will beat them hands down. It is a case of brain against plane, so to speak. And 4t is plain that the brain will be too smooth for the plane.
