Will Curb the Devil Wagons.

“The next legislature will enact a little automobile legislation,” says the Hon, C. B. Landis of Delphi. “It will place automobiles on the same footing with traction engines in that it will make it obligatory on the man w’Eo drives the automobile to get out and hold the horses if the animal gives evi-' denoe of fright. The farmers are* going to insist on this legislation. They argue that there are soores of teams to one automobile and that there is no reason why one person on pleasure bent shptild compell one hundred' people to get out of their buggies or carriages while the driver of the horseless vehiole soars jauntly on—and it would seem as if there were some logic in this." Automobiles are all right but the people who own them will have to learq,a little common sense in running them if they hope to obtain any fa /or at the hands of the rnral popnlation.
