Had a Fire All At Home

J- C. Passons, in the northwest part of town, had a little private fire alarm, last Thursday about noon. He started a pretty brisk fire in his cook stove, and forgetting to turn off the draft soon enough, some of the burning shavings went up the flue and set fire to the roof. Jim called out his family fire department, namely himself and Mrs. Passons, and these, with thehelp of two or three volunteer lady members, from among the neighbors, doused the fire, with water from two rain barrels. The roof of the kitchen was so badly damaged it all bad to be replaced, which wbb the extent of the damage.
