Ufa settle this vio* preside ncy question so that our brethren among unterrifitxi may no longer worry alxmt it, let it be understood that the next vice president will be a Republican and of course an able patriotic man, so what is the use of making any more fuss about it? Mills are running at full blast and still unable to meet the demand. is the difference between today and a few years ago. It is also the difference between the condition under Republican supermacy and condition under Democratic supremacy, then it was a national lockout; today every man that wants work can get it; and he gets it at advanced wages. “I should be utterly unable to accept such a proposition,” says Mr, Cleveland. About what? The fourth nomination for the presidency? Not by any On that point he is not nearly so emphatic or so explicit. It is the presidency of the University of Virginia that we know he would notaccept. We know this difinitely from what the man has said, but we do not not from what he has said that he would not accept the other proposition, and in all probability we never shall know 4t.
