Notice of Searing Ditch Petition. • • V . ■ * la the matter of the petitioa of Carrol C. Kent et al for a ditch in Jasper and Newton Counties. Notice ia hereby given that a petition has been filed with the undersigned Avditor of Jasper county, State of Indiana, and reviewers have been appointed, who have viewed and reported said view, which report ia on file in my office. The hearing of aaid petition and report will be on Monday, the 3rd day of August 1903, the same being the first day of the August term of the Board of Commissioners of Jasper county, Indiana holden at the Auditor’s officein Rensselaer in said county. The prayer of the said petition is that a ditch be constructed on the following route, to-wit: Commencing at the southwest corner of section I, in township SO north, of range 8 west in said Newton county, and running thenc in a general southwardly oourae following the line of an old ditch through the lands of Carrol C. Kent, Sumner H. Dickinson, Julious Guildenzoph and others entering what is known as the big slough or Curtis Creek, and following said creek in a general southwardly course and terminating at the mouth of aaid creek where it enters the Iroquois river In section 5, township 28 north of range 7 west, in Jasper county, Indiana, with two lateral lines to said mam line of ditch aa follows: One of said laterals, known as the Elijah lateral, commencing at a point 20 rods south of the quarter comer on the east line of section Si. township 30 north, of range 8 west, and running thence east, terminating In the mam line of ditch in the northeast quarter of.the southeast quarter of section thirty-five said township and range aforesaid at stake numbered 200 on main ditch; also another lateral commencing at the terminus of a public ditch in Jasper oountv known as the LoogdKch where it intersects the county line near quarter ooraer on the west line of section 31, township S 8 north, of range 7 west and running thence in a weetwardly course following an open ditch and terminating in the main ditch 00 feet below stake 255. Said proposed drainage is particularly described in the viewers report, and will effect the lands of Deloe Thompson, John J. Lawler, David Whistler, Carrol C. Kent, John Noyes, Mary Noyes, Nannie J.
