The groom was Mr. James Mead, of Hammond. The engagement has b9eu of long standing, but the wedding just at this time, was considerable of a surprise. The ceremony was performed by Rev. T. F. Drake, pastor of the M. E. ohuroh at Crown Point, and formerly located here. It was an entirely private wedding. newly married couple will reside at Hammond, for the present, as we understand, but Mr. Mead, who has long been holding a good position with the W. B.
