Only About Half of a Wheat Crop.

State Statistician B. F. Johnson says that the wheat of the state will be nearly all out by the last of the week. He estimates that there will be half a crop this year as oompared with that of last year. The oause of the failure of the crop is the fly and the rust, whioh are the result of the cold, wet weather.

The oorn he also says will be very short unless the weather is favorable from this time until fall. The late planting and wet weather are responsible for the poor com crop.

The oats crop will be below the average also on aooount of the ravages of the rust.
