A Shooting Affair At Lowell
What is supposed to be a fatal shooting affair occurred at Lowell Tuesday morning. Edwin Moore a man of not very good financial standing, has been trading with the firm of Trelease & Son, and settling his bill every Saturday uight. He failed to settle last Saturday, and Monday Mrs. Moore went to the store to buy provisions but was refused credit until the previous week’s bill was paid. Bhe reported the fact to Moore, and he went to the store, Monday night, and a quarrel took place with Justin Trelease, Jr. tbe son of the firm. Tuesday morning young Tealease went to Moore’s house called him out aud fired several shots, two of whioh struck Moore, wounding him so badly that death was considered certain, and has probably already occurred. Moore is a son of the old man Moore, of Shelby, a well known resident of that town and a once qnite noted populist leader.
