Dr. Cissel To Retire.

Dr. J. H. Cissel pastor of the First M. E. church at Michigan City, and who has filled more prominent pastorates in the. Methodist miinstry in Indiana than any other olergyman in his denomination, will retite from aotive labors with the close of the Northwest Indiana conference at Sooth 'Bend in September. His decision to leave aotive ministerial work is due to ill-health. Dr. Cissel has b een presiding elder of several Indiana districts. He is the father,, of L. W. Cissel, of Lafayette, and will probably go to that city to reside. He is a native of Rensselaer, and the most eminent preaober Jasper oounty ever produced?
