Prominent Hammond Men Fight.

Hammond, Ind., Jnly 3 -A sensational assault in which three prominent Hammond oitizene were implicated took- place last night just outside the superior oourt where Judge Q. B. Tuthill was bolding oourt. John O. Bowers who is referee in bankruptcy for this distriot, and Judge B. F. I bach were involved in e fist fight over some witness fees. The judge was pounded on the face badly before other lawyers separated (hem. Later Dr. H. G. Ibaoh met Bowers and struck him for beating bis uncle. The affair has oaused some threats to be made.
