From a letter from Prof. W. R, Murphey, dated Jane 27th we learn of the death of his little ► daughter fleleD, at bis home at Chino, Cal., on that date. The little girl had been sick for three weeks with diphtheria, and during that time had been practically given up for past recovery, and again was later prononnoed out of ,danger by the attending pbysioians. But she grew worse and althongh everything that physicians and trained nurses could do was done, she died on the date above given. Helen was a bright * and loving little girl of seven years and her death is a sore affliction to her bereaved parents, who have already suffered great family loss, About ten years ago Mr. Murphey lost two other children by the the same dread disease. Mr. i Murphey is well known in this county, having held the position of Supt. of the Remington sohools from Oot 1901 until about two years ago, when his failing health from tubeoalosis compelled him to resign his position and go 1 west, where he has completely recovered.
