Alice Furlong Found.
Od Tuesday of last week, June 23rd, little Alice Furlong, a two and a half year old little girl living on Aberdeen street, Chicago, disappeared very suddenly, and although every efFort had been put forth by the police and detectives aided by the child’s parents and friends, no traoe oould be found of her. The neighborhood was wild over the matter, and particularly so beoahse of the fact that since this child’s disappearance no less 1 than four attempts at kidnapping ohildren have been made in exactly the same locality. Children in that quarter of the city were . kept in and not allowed on the street, and a man seen walking ; with or carrying a child was required to show his credentials to the polios to prove that he had a right to it. Little Aiioe Furlong, of Chicago, whose disappearance is mentioned in the above was found by the police at 1:80 p. m. Tuesday in the possession of one Heze] Avery, who admits taking the child because of the love she bad for ohildren. She is now under arrest for kidnapping.
