Two Men Are Run Down.
Special to the Indianapolis Journal. I Laporte, Ind., June 22.—Henry Speir received injuries from whioh he died half an hour later and Jam s Bragg was seriously hurt at noon Monday byjbeing run over by a Ohioago & Eastern Illinois railroad engine at LaCrosse, Laport county. The men were standing on the Monon traok, behind a box oar, and stepped direotly in front of the ooming engine. The engineer could not stop the looomotive be-, fore it caught both men, and they were badly mangled nnder the wheels. Speir left a widow and three obildren. Bragg also is married. Tbe above aooount from the Indianapolis Journal is not wholly correct. A Rensselaer oitizen who was np the Miohigan City branch of the Monon yesterday informs us that the men were first taken to San Pierre and no physioian beidg obtainable at that plaoe they were brought to Monon on a freight train. They were not killed instantly,'however but both lived'to reach Monon, where Speir died in the night. Bragg was not yet dead Tuesday morning bat was thought to be dying.
