Wreck on the Monon.

Fatal Wreck at Ash Grove in Which Three Lives are Lost. Details are very meager concerning a wreck whioh occurred on the Monon at or near Ash Grove, just over the Tippecanoe county line, at an early hour this morning f * The train which was wreohed was known as No. 57*or the “Owl” a freight whioh left Monon 12:15 a. m. The wreck was caused so 'far as learned by the breaking of ournal under one of the care, whioh derailed seven freight cars. Riding on this train in among the oars and stealing their way, was three young men, who when the wreok occurred were killed. Who these young men were we were unable to learn, but they were known to have been hanging around Monon during the afternoon and evening, and the supposition is that they were just out for a good time and stealing their way home to Lafayette or other points south. It is reported that one brakeman was injured in the wreck, but this is not substantiated. The wreck oaused the milk train to be something like an hour late.
