The Toledo & Chicago Transfer Railway.
Several of the newspapers in the neighborhood are making considerable “copy” out of an alleged activity in the movement concerning the Toledo & Chicago Transfer Railway Co. and are ing long columns of matter on the subject again. This time it is Dr. J. B. Weecott, of Goodland whd is concerned in the movement and bae asked of Hon. V. Zimmerman who is one of the chief promoters, the favor of going before the Board of Commissioners, Fulton oounty and asking that Board to extend the limit one year for the collection of the $40,000 subsidy voted in the two townships of that oounty through which the supposed line is to run. The commissioners granted the extension. The Rochester RepubliJ oan seems to take great heart a , the outlook and expresses the as- , suranoe that the T. & C. T. men j will again visit the town in a short time to continue their work. The route is entirely feasible and if by any chance the road should be built, it would undoubt- , edly become one of the greatest | traffic routes iu this quarter of the state.
