A Pleasant Reception.
H. R. Kurrie held a very pleiisaift reoeption at her home on Weston street Wednesday afternoon. The reoeption was given in honor of Mrs. Frank Paul, of Paoli, Ind.,.sister of Mr. Kurrie, who is visiting here. The bouse was fragrant from the decorations which were roses and carnations, and something like one hundred guests were presentThoee on the raceiving committee were Mrs. H. R. Kurrie, Mrs. Frank Paul, Mra. Oren Parker, Mrs. C. D. Martin and Mrs. Frank Ross. Some very pleasing musical selections were rendered by Mra. Delos Thompson, Mrs. E. C. English and Mias Floy Nowels. Those present whose homes are not iu Rensselaer were: Mrs. Frank Warren, Oklahoma, Mrs. John Paxton Longmont, Colorado, Mra. Sadie Wolf, Hammond, Mrs. C. D. Martin Cincinnati, Mrs. Frank P&al. Paoli, Ind„ Mrs. Johnson, Atlanta, Ga , Mrs. Louis Wilcox, Surrey and Mrs. J. T. Trant, Hartford City. Before leavirtg the guests partook of the dainty refreshments whioh were served by their obarrning hostess, and all voted it one of Rensselaer’s most pleasant social functions.
