Found Horae a Block Away.

j Podge Brenner was over to Mt. Ayr, Sunday, and having tied his horse before starting home waa presumably bidding bis fair companion good bye, when the horse thinking that it was time such proceeding should beĀ® curtailed broke loose and started down the street at a break neok speed, not even waiting for him to close the ohapter in good form. Pudge started after the horse but did hot find the rig and supposing the animal had hiked out for Rensselaer, seoured another outfit and drove home, When he got here he found that no one had seen his horse so, he had to drive buck to Mt. Ayr. again. When he got there be found upon inquiry that bis rig bad been stopped within a blook or two of its starling point and the horse put up and fed by the aooomodating oitizen who stopped it. The horse was evidently satisfied but Pudge thinks 1 only of the time wasted in traversing the lonely road in the night which might have been put in to better advantage (at Mt. Ayr.)
