Northern Indiana Crop Report
Indiana section of the U. S. Weather Bureau’s climate and orop report gives the following report for this and neighboring counties. Jasper—Toe much rain; oorn weedy; oats will make less than half orop. Newton—Too much rain; cultivation of oorn interrupted; oats doing well; fruit prospects poor; clover improving; pastures good. Lake—Ground soaked with water farm work at standstill; oorn on high ground doing well, but weedy, some to plant; wheat, rye, oats and hay in fine condition. LaPorte—Timely raius; corn, oata, olover, potatoes and some wheat doing well, some wheat being damaged by fiiee; timothy short; peaches promise well, but affeoted in places by “curled leaf.”
