A Train Load of Remonstrants.
It is not alone in Jasper oounty that the ministers are making a strenuous fight Hgainst the saloons, and the “Methody men” taking the lead in the battle. Thus Rev. A. H. DeLong, a well known Northern Indiana M. E. minister, has sprung into notoriety at Torntown, Ind. That town is made up largely of temperance people, and these led by Rev. DeLong and another minister, not only filed a remonstranoe, but to the number of 500 boarded a Big Four train, and went to Lebanon to plead their cause with the oounty commissioners. The train was so orowded that Rev. DeLong and the other minister had to ride on the engine.
